Shaun and Chan Yoke Wedding Day.

It looks simple, but they actually put in a lot of effort and time for the special day of Shaun and Chan Yoke. I had seen couples decorate their room full with wedding gift and wedding deco, I had seen couple very particular in gowns and make up, but they are the first couple where I had seen they prepare the video to entertain the guest and family members. They put on several video capture by themselves and a very touch and romantic speech from Shaun was recorded and projected on their wedding dinner. And at this moment, Chan Yoke gave her very romantic kiss to her beloved husband. I love that scene very much. It was touch and romance. This is the reason why I am enjoy being the wedding photographer. The story of every love bird has their own different and interesting love story to tell.

Let's enjoy the show...

Dinner at Ming Garden, Time Square Penang. This is the first time I been to this place. The environment is a bit dim. Limited lighting on that restaurant. I lot of restaurant is taking care of the the warm environment but they had forgotten that photos is the person who capture their restaurant environment for the couple to keep in memory. Lighting has been setup for the shooting on that night.... here is the party.

Lens That I Target For 2012

Photobucket

This is the lens that I am targeting for this year. I had been wondering which ultra wide angle lens should I buy. Tokina 11-16mm f2.8, Canon 16-35mm f2.8, Canon 10-22mm f3.5-5.6 or Sigma 12-24 f4.5-5.6. Finally I had made up my mind where should I go.

Initially I was thinking of converting to full frame 5D mark 3 then, I have to consider hard for which lens should I chose. APC-S lens is not able to mount on the APC camera. If I have to go to full frame camera, then I only have 2 choices which is Canon 16-35mm f2.8 or Sigma 12-24 f4.5-5.6. After Canon announce the price for Canon 5D mark 3, I am totally fainted! I was expecting it will be around RM 9,000 but it hit up t o RM 12,000. It almost to hit the price of Nikon D800 + 24-70 f2.8 Nikon nano lens. Thus it is better for me to drop the idea of getting a full frame camera at this moment. Recently have to spend a lot of some extra expenses. Thus its better to do some saving for my emergency use.

Among the lenses above, Canon 16-35mm f2.8 is the most expensive lens. The effect of ultra wide angle will be more significant when it mounted on a full frame camera. While on hand, I already have Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. Canon 10-22mm f3.5-5.6 has a higher aperture value and more pricey compare to Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Sigma has the advantage of APC lens where in future if I need to upgrade my camera I do not have to change my lens but the price is not cheap as well. RM 3.5k per lens. Thus the economical lens that suits my purpose and pocket will be the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. It has the advantage of f2.8 best suit for indoor use, especially capture wedding day in house tea ceremony.

Soon to buy my lens....

Shaun & Chan Yoke couple shot

Photobucket

Handsome groom and pretty cute bride.... Took me sometime to think and shoot their couple shot. In every shot we do something special get our creativity rolling. It was my first time shooting at Suffolk House. I was another historical building in Penang where it has been there for century. Unfortunately, they were having functions inside the Suffolk House and only allow to have our photography session out side the compound. The bridge alone already gives me a very good architecture for photographing. I love this place so much.

Full House in Penang is another destination of interest for pre-wedding photography. Stareast has made their depart for the pre-wedding shot promotion at the particular location. Never the less, we also had been there for the shooting. I was located at Time Square Penang. The place looks romantic and it was fill up with warm lights. I love the romance moment of the couple.

The last destination of the couple has selected was the Lone Pine hotel at Batu Ferringhi. They booked a room in the hotel for photo shooting. The place looks gorgeous. The background of the hotel contribute a lot for the photographer to generate the ideas. That is why a lot of photographer prefer to take outdoor picture instead of studio picture. There are more location and object for the photographer to pose the model for photographing. One of the my favourite spot of photographing is the bricks wall. The location for cycling was awesome as well. It match the attire of the couple. End, I would like to special thank to Hiang Pin for helping me up on the photo shooting session.
