Yu Li Photography

Yu Li is a very talented model that recommended by a good friend of mine, Siew Kay. With the beautiful scenery of Penang and the participation of the beautiful and experience model, it was a perfect evening for us to play with lightings and create a nice photo of her. And from the outing, I begin to love black and white photography.

"It is not about how strong the back light is, its not how sexy the model is, it is just about how we paint them together by using the lights."

My first winning shot

I had lost my confident in photography contest after I had tried a few photos in DCM few years ago but none were publish in the magazine. I have not send my photos for any other contest such as KL Photo Award, etc. Anyhow, I would like to thank my friend Yanqi and Eugene for sending my photos (the couple photos with poodle last time) for the Penang Time Square "My Dear Pet Photo Contest". They send my photo for the contest silently. I was not even aware that I had won the contest until I see the message pop up on my facebook wall saying "Million of Thx to Je de Unbeaten". And she told me that they send my photo for contest and won 2nd place in the photo contest. I was really surprise with the winning. But too bad that I was not there to witness the winning moment. I would like to share my winning shot (above) to everyone of you. Thanks for visiting my blog.

A Photographer...

Starting a blog with some words to reminds me as a photographer.
I am a photographer and not a camera man :)

Camera is just a tool,
Good camera can produce quality photos,
But without a good skill, its just a wasted tool.
A skillful camera man, can produce good pictures,
Even its just a lousy camera,
Because he is a photographer.
