This album is special made for Jessie Gal. I was very tired on the shooting day as I was not given a good sleep from the "nature", end I crashed my car when I was on the way back home after shooting. My face looked zombie while shooting, lucky thing that they did not frighten by my face :D. I had been shooting portrait for quite some time and I keep on revolving my portrait shooting style from normal ordinary portrait scene to fashion portrait. Thus sometimes I really care on my client or model dress up.
Heritage City of Penang is rich with beautiful scene. Some are old and antic feel of scenery but some are built.... But there are some places where the daily work created the environment and it looks so beautiful. The second scene was the location where I love the most. Enjoy my first album design.... simple design.

Touch of Love
It has been long time that I did not shoot Pre-wedding photos. Due to gown rental is not very common in Penang and it is far expensive to buy or rent. But this chance was given to me on Siew Nee and Meng Yee Pre-wedding session. We had plan our shooting scene since a month ago to arrange the classic car, the make up artist, the gown and the location selection. It takes up some time to scout around the shooting location.
This gown was selected, off cam flash gun was set on the left back of me, lighting up the wall of barli white.
One more, off cam flash was set under the gown and it lighten up the gown.
While waiting for the couple to get ready, I love shooting preparation job, such as makeup in progress.
Magical hand of the talented make up artist.
The makeup artist, Tiffany Yeoh
She is concentrating on her professional service.
Meng Yee is ready for the shot, let's roll!
Being inspire by the Bufori classic car rental from Ken Ong. Take the available chance by being creative with the long lace veil from the bride. I love long veil.
The logo of Bufori.
Beautiful Siew Nee, capture with the flash on my right attach with softbox.
The long veil that cover the car and the Bufori was shown on the right bottom of this picture.
Meng Yee is tall looking... Handsome ya?
Classic feel.... Black and white picture does give us the different feel. It can be classic, it can be elegant as well.
Long veil makes the different. Off cam flash was mounted in front of the couple makes the kissing shine.
Flying veil.
This photo broke my facebook "like" record of 151.
Tweak and change of color. Looks cool anyway.
New gear in action, Tokina 11-16 f2.8 Canon mount lens. The distortion effect had made Meng Yee looks taller than he is.
Last photo of the scene, not to forget to take group picture with the Classic car owner Ken Ong.
Second scene were shot at one of the club house in Penang. Were facing some misunderstanding with the club house management and we were told that this will be our last time shooting at the club house. I love the pool side shooting very much. Using the sun ray and the architecture of the house, but too bad.... only once and for all.
The club house
Just now flying veil, now flying gown.
Sun ray... This is my first time to achieve this picture. Either it can be too bright at the background nor too dark at the foreground. But this time is perfect.
One more... Just love the effect so much.
The expression of the bride when she look at her hubby.
Shooting from far 24-105, opposite the pool.
A friend of mine love to shoot this way, and we call it "Kimi patterned" photo.
But I love this one more.... composition a bit different from previous photo.
Sweet kiss.
Fastest shooting scene ever. Less than 30 minutes we finished the scene. Not much photos were capture as the mosquito keep attacking the bride and groom. It is painful to shoot under such condition. I am glad that the bride and groom able to sustain for the shot. I am sorry to cause you get hurt. Anyway... here are some nice photos that I like to share... most of them are like Korean style of Pre-wedding.
Extremely in love with the wooden house at the fishing village.
Mosquito biting and yet they still smiling... I did edit away the mosquito on her hand :D
This photo looks natural... anyhow, the bride is not so comfortable with her new hair style.
1 more place to go before the sunset. The shooting is by the seaside, another fishing village where you can see the boat and the wooden jetty is there. This is the unique place in Penang where you can find a lot of nature beauty, and the beauty of cultural art. The jetty is built without any engineering job done or architecture done, but it is just as beautiful as it is. You can't find it at any of the European country.
Took the shot when the couple is relaxing at the jetty.
Light color... Korean pre-wedding love to be light color. All these photos capture without using flash. 100% natural light.
Natural
Learn to edit in black and white... and loving black and white photos.
Sunset moment
Silhouette...
Black and white again.... love the shadow on this image. It shows that all our crew member is working hard to produce this picture.
Behind the scene... something to share... Our video grapher looking good :D
Last scene.... Roof top car park. This is really challenge your creativity and stamina. 5 gowns and locations in a day. Shoot until 10pm, last location empty car park... flat open space with some pillar lamp. Use your creativity to pose the model. Last make up done by Tiffany Yeoh is elegant short hair British bride dinner wear style. Off cam flash play a big roll on these photos.... and very important lamp is the video light lamp. I learn this time... it is very very useful when you shoot at night, like the place as dark as this. It can be use to light up the object and allow your camera to perform the auto focus.
Here you can see that it is just a wide empty car park. I am lucky to have empty car park. Else will have a lot of distraction. Off cam flash was use below my platform and shooting to the couple.
My beloved photo.... It came as I plan and imagine. Risk my life for the shot. Climb up to the tip top of roof where people use to fix the radio transmission tower. Location was without any safety divider and that give me the clear view of the Georgetown. Capture this photo with the help from my friend Manfrotto tripod, off cam flash, assist by my friend with 1.6 second shutter speed.
1 off cam flash at the back of the couple with the help of video light, lighten the face of the couple and allow me to do my focusing. 50mm f1.4
Nobody there... shhhh... let's dance
Plain war... shadow projection.
Here they come.... natural!
Beautiful!
Thanks for viewing.
