Stuttgart - Hohenzollern 1 day tour.

It was Good Friday and Easter Monday holiday in Germany, we were having 4 days in a role holiday. I was not make it to go to Italy as everything was not well prepared. And I can't just stay at home for a day, I can't face the monitor for a full long day. Therefore I will look for something to do or go some where. Since there is no portrait that I can do in Regensburg, I made my trip to Stuttgart for a visit. Initially was plan to visit 2 castles but I only manage to visit 1 castle. The journey was too far. It took us 3 driving hours to connect to the destination. Unfortunately we only can visit 1 castle call Hohenzorllern.

This is a very unique castle where the prince is still living in this castle. Georg Friedrich Prince of Prussia was married to Sophie Princess of Prussia and both them are living in this beautiful castle. This castle was build by King Frederick William IV. They most of the equipments were well preserve. It is worth to go have a look on this castle and there is a secret passway underground. The dining hall is beautifully decorated. And the entrance fees is 12 Euro, bus transportation is 2.50 Euro. Too bad, we are not allow to take pictures inside the castle, here are some of the photos surround the castle I can share it here.

This is the shuttle bus that bring us from the carpark to the castle.

Even it was spring but it snows! Nice experience to enjoy the snow while visiting the castle. Although it is very hard for me as it will wet my camera, but I still manage to snap some photos. The bad things of going in the group without a single person with photography interest is: you can snap a very nice picture without you or with other people but not the photo with you in it! It was cooling!

The entrance to the castle. This tunnel beautiful!

The garden by the spiral corridor. It is nice to travel during Spring. You can have the chance to see beautiful flowers blooming everywhere. The weather is just nice to travel, cooling and not hot. You will feel very comfy. For those who wish to experience the snow, beginning of spring is good; but for those who are afraid of cold weather, end of spring will be best. By the middle or the end of Spring, the day is longer than the night. Therefore you will have longer day time to enjoy your holiday. At around 8pm the sky is getting dark and you can enjoy the second scene of the place full with light. During winter, the day is shorter and the night is longer. Around 4.30pm the sky has already getting dark, you will have less activity in a day.

Snow! Nice, never forget myself when go travel.

I love this picture the most throughout the Stuttgart visit. The snow makes this picture to have the dreamy feel.

On the way walking into the castle and the chapel is on the right. Red umbrella from a Taiwan visitor create the impact in this photo.

Another Chapel on the left. During middle of Spring and Summer they will have an open air cafe where they allow you to enjoy the atmosphere of having your tea break in the castle. While on the right side they also have a restaurant.

This is the watch tower for this castle. But the top of the watch tower was not open for public.

On the right hand side is the entrance into the castle and you will end up to exist from the castle right under the watch tower. You may enter into the second section of castle visit right besides the exit door, you will be able to see the crown, utensil, armor and so on. There is a secret underground passway from the ground into underground and continue to see their kitchen.

Not sure what position he was acting but I am sure he is not Prince George.

Last, have some personal photo with the Hohenzollern before heading back to Regensburg.
